Ninja TX certified media
Ninja TX can support CFexpress Type B removable media or USB-C 3.1+ external media. Since recording high quality video requires high performance, and media performance can vary significantly between vendors and models, we strongly recommend using one of the qualified models listed below.
CFexpress media
All cards listed below are qualified for all recording formats, including RAW, unless otherwise specified. Ensure your Ninja TX is updated to the latest firmware for full media compatibility.
Angelbird
Delkin Devices
EXASCEND
LEXAR
Nextorage
Pro-Grade Digital
SanDisk
In addition to these Atomos tested cards, we recommend consulting with the Compact Flash Association list of VPG-Certified Media Cards for a list of cards tested for minimum sustained write performance that matches or exceeds your requirements.
USB-C media
While the Ninja TX can accept USB-C media devices (flash drives, SATA drives, etc), many of these devices cannot keep up with the demands of continuous recording of high-quality video on the Ninja TX. Some cheaper drives hit high speeds in short bursts but quickly slow down once their fast cache fills, causing recording to fail.
What matters is the sustained sequential write speed of the device, which is the drive’s ability to write at the required speed across the entire drive for the full duration of recording.
Atomos tested USB-C media devices will be added here once testing of confirmed sustained write speeds have been validated.
USB-C Ethernet
Ninja TX should be compatible with most USB-C Gigabit and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet adapters. Ninja TX is compatible with both the Realtek and ASIX chipsets found in many brands of adapter. The following USB-C Ethernet modules have been specifically qualified for use with the TX:
USB-C Power
Ninja TX should be compatible with any 65W capable USB-C PD charger. The following charger modules have been specifically qualified for use with the TX:
